Lent Inspired Centerpiece

Hello friends!

Today I’m sharing a simple centerpiece that was inspired by Lent.

I have to admit, I’ve never actually decorated for Lent before, but the idea of decorating was really calling me this year. So I searched for a bit online for direction on how to decorate and then decided to keep things very simple. I’m probably not following any rules here as for traditions, with the exception of the color purple, but I figured that was ok and when I finished, I loved it.

I honestly just wanted to have something around the house that reminded me of this very special time of year. As well as reminding me of keeping up with not eating meat on Fridays, because I’m prone to always forgetting about that!

I started by wrapping a strand of twine to the top of a small vase and simply tying it in place.

Here I’m using a grayish blue round table mat, a paper doilie, and a small piece of a purple faux flower to place under my vase.

Light blue faux flowers.

Now I have a beautiful Lent decoration as well as a reminder of the special time of year we are in.

Sending happy, safe, and healthy vibes your way. May God bless you and your family today and every beautiful day to come!
