Fall Centerpiece with a Few “Out of Season” Faux Flowers

Fall Centerpiece with a Few “Out of Season” Faux Flowers
One yellow hydrangea, a bunch of tulips, a handful of roses…
A couple bunches of sunflowers…
A few random extra flowers…
And magically
I have the perfect bouquet for my fall centerpiece.
Normally I wouldn’t think of using tulips or a yellow hydrangea to decorate for fall but there I was a few weeks ago…
Sitting on my bedroom floor (way past midnight) pulling out every single yellow flower I could find in my small collection of faux flowers. As I pulled them out and scattered them on the floor I just couldn’t resist!
It was like a match made in heaven when I saw them all mixed in with the sunflowers.
So I figured what’s the big deal if I decorate for fall with a spring flower-like tulips or a yellow hydrangea that looks like it has spring and summer written all over it.
Who’s going to complain if the flowers are in or out of season? They are faux after all 😇
I had no idea why I was even drawn to all these flowers in the first place but once I was done putting them together I realized something.
My centerpiece reminded me of the sun!
So right there I knew exactly why I went for all those yellow flowers.
Here’s why. My daughter’s new favorite movie is the bee movie. (Such a cute movie!) That movie has shades of yellow ALL OVER practically every scene. The bees, the honey, Vanessa’s dress in the court…
She wants to watch it almost EVERY DAY, and far be it for me and my husband to say no to a little resting/me peacefully making dinner time 😉
So we give in.
And then…
We make use of the time however we can, we rest, we do chores/dinner, I end up with that song “here comes the sun” in my head all day long and then I end up creating this beautiful centerpiece that I’m about to share with you right now.
Ok guys here we go!!
Fall Centerpiece with a Few “Out of Season” Faux Flowers
First, I started with an old large mason jar
You can find the same size jar here but I found mine at my local dollar store for less than five dollars so you may want to check there first if you have one near by 😉
I wrapped a white ribbon around the middle part of the jar (because I love wrapping ribbon on everything 😊)
Then I took my super large hydrangea (from Michaels, also used here) along with another flower and dropped them in on opposite sides.
Next…
I dropped three flowers here…
And one bunch of tulips behind those three flowers (from Dollar Tree, also used here)
I may have cried a bit when I photographed those tulips 😄
So pretty!
Ok next…
This is where I started to scatter in the rest of my sunflowers (that I also used here and here) as well as a few roses.
I moved the flowers around where ever it was needed to bring everything together.
and that’s it!
all done with my new fall centerpiece
I hope you enjoyed this fall centerpiece with a few “out of season” faux flowers.
