8 Places I Use Dollar Tree Organizers to Stay Organized

If you love the Dollar Tree as much as I do then you’ve probably seen them.

Those small, plastic organizers that come in different colors and sizes. The ones that always seem to sell out before your very eyes!

Or at least that’s the case in my Dollar Tree.

Well, whenever I do get to see them I make sure to grab a few because they are perfect for keeping things organized.

So I figured why not share how I put these containers to use and hopefully give you some ideas as to how you can use them in your home too.

Here we go…

8 Places I use Dollar Tree Organizers to Stay Organized!

1. Kitchen Junk Drawer

We all have one of these, the junk drawer.

Everything that doesn’t have a home seems to end up here. But, just because there’s a ton of random items in here doesn’t mean it can’t be organized.

I use two of the small Dollar Tree organizers in here to organize items like small note pads, tape, lighters, and glue.

There’s also a couple of other boxes in there that I recycled from my old checkbooks (wow, I can’t remember the last time I used a personal check)

2. In the Freezer for Breast Milk

I managed to pump a decent amount of breast milk back when I was breastfeeding.

To save the milk, I would first pour it into Lansinoh breastmilk storage bags, then lay the bags flat in the freezer to freeze. After the milk would freeze I would place the storage bags in one of the larger Dollar Tree containers.

3. Kitchen Drawer for Baby Items

Here I use two small containers to organize my daughter’s spoons, bottle tops, extra scoops for her formula, small brush for cleaning the bottle pieces (I use Dr. Brown bottles, such a pain to clean!) and a few bottle sealing discs.

4. My Nightstand

My nightstand drawer has a couple of the small containers and one large container.

They are all holding random items like an old cell phone, lotion, and note pad.

5. Top of My Nightstand

I keep most of my daughter’s products on top of my nightstand.

If you read my post on “how I organize my baby’s clothes” then you may remember that we are in a one-bedroom apartment, so her crib, clothes, and everyday products are all in our bedroom.

The only Dollar Tree container on the nightstand is the small long narrow basket behind the wipes warmer. There I keep her hairbrush and a few other random items.

6. My Sunglasses

I keep two of the long narrow containers on my dresser to hold my sunglasses.

Most of my sunglasses are not expensive so I don’t mind keeping them like this, and what’s nice is that I can still fit my better quality shades with their case in here too.

Now truth be told.

I placed the sunglasses in the containers very neatly for this picture but on most days I’m usually just tossing them in, so it doesn’t always look this neat but it’s nice to have a place to put them at when I’m back home.

7. Under My Vanity

This one is pretty simple.

I keep a few rollers and heat protectant spray in one of the larger containers under a small vanity I have in our room.

I can probably make better use of this entire area but haven’t had much time to play with it since becoming a mom so it will be staying like this for now. Eventually though I’m sure I will be changing things around and make it work better for me. (Update: Check out this post to see how I re-organized this area)

8. My Daughters Drawers

In my previous post  “how I organize my baby’s clothes,” I showed you how I organize her hats with these containers. In that same area (separate drawer), I have one of the larger containers to organize her small washcloths.

We’ve had it like this pretty much since she was born and it’s been great for keeping all those tiny washcloths together.

Well, there you have it!

Eight places I’ve been using Dollar Tree containers for some time now that have really helped me stay organized.

Whether you keep these organizers exposed on a nightstand…

hidden in drawers…

or even in the freezer!

It’s always nice to have a place to toss all those small items we have laying around the house.

I hope you enjoyed this and found a few ways you can put Dollar Tree organizers to use in your home today too!
