Hello everyone! About a month ago I shared a spring wreath that I made a couple of years ago but never got around to sharing. That wreath really, really left me wanting to make another wreath.
I’ve actually started using wreaths all through out our apartment, (bedroom doors, empty wall spaces) so I knew I would find a spot for this one as well.
So I created this simple wire wreath using just a few items:
Faux florals, ribbon…
and I made a wire ring wreath using wire that my husband had laying around the house for other projects but hadn’t used for a while.
You can find very affordable wire wreaths in Dollar stores, craft stores and large discount stores like Walmart, and save yourself that extra step or DIY it like I did if you have some sturdy wire on hand.
Wire Spring Wreath
I’m using steel wire to create a ring wreath but as I mentioned above, you can find these in many different discount locations.
If you are making your own wreath here are a few tips:
You can use scotch tape to hold your circle in place as well as…
to cover any cut areas that may be sharp or sticking out, as mine was (see photo above).
faux flowers…
Bunched up to form a simple bouquet then held together with tape (good old tape)
I added a hand made bow…
and my florals were connected to the wire by using some ribbon to tie it around the back and finishing with some tape where ever needed to hold them around my wire. But you can use hot glue as well.
I hope this simple wire spring wreath inspires you to create something beautiful for your home today too!
Sending happy, safe, and healthy vibes your way. May God bless you and your family today and every beautiful day to come!
You can find them with drawings of bunnies, baskets, flowers, and all sorts of pretty spring stuff.
And you can even have your kids paint the real thing.
It’s Easter eggs.
I absolutely love using Easter eggs for decorating.
Today I’m sharing a very simple table decoration using these sweet little eggs.
I’m using eggs that I’ve had for a few years now and have used over and over again. One of last years Easter decorations (that I shared here on the blog) is similar to what I’m sharing today, but this time I added a few decorative brown rocks to tone down the bright colors a bit.
I used sparkly white, yellow and lime green Easter eggs and finished off with a navy blue ribbon.
and that’s it.
Simple Easter Egg Table Decoration
I placed a layer of brown rocks at the bottom of my vase.
Then a layer of glittery white, yellow, and lime green glitter Easter eggs come in.
As you can see in the other photos, I made a bow around my vase using blue ribbon.
I also added some scotch tape underneath the ribbon to hold it in place.
and that’s it!

Today I’m sharing a spring wreath that I made about two years ago. I made this wreath with the intention to post it here and share but never got around to it.
Honestly, this should probably be a continuation of my post from two weeks ago where I also shared a few DIYs that I never got around to posting.
(oh if I could count the times I make things that I want to share and then never do… (face/palm moment)
I used items that I believe I already had on hand or had recently bought as well as an old wreath that I repurposed from old fall decorations.
Ok, I hope you enjoy this simple lime green and purple spring wreath!
DIY Lime Green and Purple Spring Wreath
I used faux lime green and purple flowers. (purple flowers came from Michaels Craft Store)
(I also added a few white hydrangea petals at the end from the dollar store)
And I used white ribbon at the end to hang up my wreath.
As for my wreath, I used an old wreath that I already had on hand. It had flowers for a fall wreath that I removed and then started hot gluing on my green and purple petals onto my wreath and finished off with a few white hydrangea petals.
and that’s it!
Hope you enjoyed this simple DIY lime green and purple spring wreath! Thanks for stopping by.

And pink, oh that beautiful pink…if you are a girly girl like me, you just love it.
I was really drawn to lime green this year for spring.
Lime green hydrangeas to be exact!
So I knew that would be the color to focus on for my faux floral home decor arrangements.
But I usually have a hard time deciding on just one color, so I had to call in all the spring color troops. Yep, pink and yellow (with some neutral white touches) really helped bring it all together.
I put together a few simple arrangements using faux flowers, ribbon, a few Easter eggs, and a bunch of artificial limes I found at Target. I’ll probably keep them out all throughout the spring months and hope they can offer you some inspiration to bring a little spring cheer into your home too!
A few artificial limes scattered around the vase and this one is done.
I have this one sitting on our kitchen table. The lighting is not always the best there so I decided to photograph it in our living area along with everything else that you’ll see below 🙂
Yellow ribbon, burlap, and lime green curling ribbon.
I’m keeping the yellow ribbon and burlap in place with a small piece of scotch tape around the back then wrapping the green curling ribbon around and making a small bow as you see above. I show the steps, with pictures, in this post (FYI: I’ve used other inexpensive tapes in the past to hold ribbon in place but I find that scotch tape works the best for keeping everything in place)
This one is ready to go!
For my next one I’m using a few pieces of flowers that I pulled from my stash of faux flowers.
I’ve used these many times in past blog posts. You can check them out here, here, here and here.
I cut the center portion of those pink flowers off of a few other flowers I had and then hot glued it onto my pink flowers. Before doing that I used a blow dryer to open the pedals up a bit. You can also see how they originally looked in this post.
Then I’m using an old can to hold my flowers (like I did in last years spring post)
I cleaned out the can, removed the label and covered it with white printer paper using scotch tape to hold it in place around the back and then added my three ribbons.
I debated whether or not to add this next one since it’s so simple but it’s probably the one I’m looking at the most throughout the day. I have it right by my kitchen sink (I may just spend most of my day at that sink, mommy life) and I really enjoy looking at it so I figured why not throw it in.
It doesn’t get any simpler than this. I cleaned out an old spice jar and pulled off a section of one of my lime green hydrangeas then added a green sunflower I picked up years ago at Ikea then placed one lime and a sparkly white egg (from last years Easter post)
Now I’m filling a short, wide vase with a few old white and green Easter eggs (all from dollar stores, white eggs again used in last years Easter post)
Then some burlap, gold ribbon, and lime green curling ribbon to finish up.
Next up, a silver charger plate and white dinner plate, a small basket filled with artificial limes, a single faux hydrangea and this ones ready to go (who doesn’t love decorating with limes and lemons for the warmer weather!)
I found my teeny tiny basket at the Christmas Tree Shop but another item that would work in place of the basket would be a small white bowl.
I’m keeping this one in our kitchen over our toaster oven but I think this would also work for a small kitchen table or if you have a larger basket I would fill it up with a bunch of these limes and either add a few hydrangeas into the basket with the limes or scatter them around the basket.
You can make a few of these to scatter along a table or combine it with a larger one like I did here with my first arrangement.
A few old sparkly Easter eggs and a decorative white plate (also from the Christmas Tree Shop)…
accompany a handful of faux tulips and a couple of faux chrysanthemums in a vase with the same yellow ribbon, burlap and curling ribbon I used with my other arrangements.
ok friends, thanks for stopping by!

Simple Spring Floral Decor with Items You May Already Have
With everything that’s been going on recently many of us have been spending more time at home.
I think it’s safe to say that aside from the necessary supermarket runs (to clear out their aisles) we really are not shopping very much outdoors right now. But maybe like me, you still want to spread some good vibes throughout your home and celebrate the fact that we are now in this beautiful season called spring.
I had planned on creating a centerpiece with a number of different items that I had purchased before all the craziness started but now I think it makes more sense to create a few pieces using items I already have so that hopefully it will be easier for you to try it out in your home too. Without having to step outside and buy anything.
Now, I love using faux flowers, so that’s mainly what I’ll be working with but I tried to keep it as simple as possible with the flowers I picked in case you don’t already own a good selection of faux flowers.
Ok here we go…
Simple Spring Floral Decor with Items You May Already Have
You can start by…
Turning an old can into a sweet and simple floral arrangement…
…by making use of a few pretty faux flowers. (I’m using a few sunflowers I had from my fall and thanksgiving centerpiece.)
Just remove the label from the can and wash it inside and out (be careful not to cut yourself around the edges like I did, lol)
Then grab a sheet of white printer paper, fold it in half and wrap it around the can securing it around the back with a small piece of tape.
Next, wrap some burlap around your can and finish off with pink curling ribbon over the burlap to tie a simple bow around everything.
If you don’t have burlap or a similar type of ribbon don’t worry just use what you have at home.
Stick to colors that remind you of spring or simply use white ribbon or even twine. Either one of those should work great.
You can then bring in the spring colors either with a different color paper or different flowers.
Whatever you have on hand will be beautiful!!
Next…
Transform an empty beer bottle (or wine bottle) into precious spring decor…
…by using pink or any pastel-colored ribbon to tie a bow off to the side and then fill with a single pretty flower like this peony that I cut off of a larger bunch I recently found at Michaels.
I think it’s worth mentioning that the flower I am working with has the two peonies connected on to one stem. This part is what is keeping the flowers standing so upright in the bottle. Another way to get this “effect” is to make use of the leaves that usually come on faux flowers, just move them up or down to hold your flower where you want it to stay.
ok here’s the next one…
Repurpose a small sugar bowl (an old mug or small pitcher may also work) into the perfect kitchen decor for any countertop or corner in need of some happy spring vibes.
Grab your sugar bowl or container of choice and a few flowers like these hydrangeas that I recently picked up at the dollar store and wrap a light green ribbon that you can secure with some tape on the back, I love some basic tape!
Last…
Use a small inexpensive vase with a small opening (like this one that I recently found at ikea)…
…to turn a few sprigs of flowers and a single leaf (that I removed from another flower and attached to a short stem) into another simple floral spring arrangement.
Finish off with a pop of color like that green ribbon tied to the side.
Here’s a look at the back with a few yellow flowers that I used for my summer, fall and Christmas centerpieces. Gotta love faux flowers! You can use them over and over again.
TIP: Make 3 of any of these little floral arrangements and scatter on any table, mantel or window seal.
So there you have it guys!
If you have a few flowers and an old can…
A beer bottle…
A small sugar bowl…
Or even a basic little vase…
and some ribbon…
You have everything you need to make your own simple spring floral decor for your home today.

Are you ready to say hello spring and goodbye old man winter?
There’s one way you can welcome spring and start enjoying all it has to offer no matter what the weather looks like outside (because here in New York, Mr. Winter likes to extend his stay way past his scheduled check out time.)
Start at home with some bright, cheerful and unique spring decor.
This unique spring centerpiece is sure to make anyone feel like warm weather is right around the corner. Plus, it won’t cost much to put it together.
You can find most of the supplies at any dollar store but if you are into crafting like I am then you may already have a few of these items in your crafting stash.
Here we go…
How to Create a Unique Spring Centerpiece
Here’s what you’ll need:
4 Bunches of Faux Flowers, preferably roses. Mine are from the dollar store.
Look for flowers with different lengths mixed in. You want a few long and a few short flowers.
Ribbon, Burlapand White Tulle
A Few Safety Pins (or glue gun) and White Dollies any shape (the dollies are optional)
I picked pink, white and yellow roses but you can change up the colors if you’d like. If you do change it up, be sure to match the ribbon to the colors of your flowers.
I already had burlap, ribbon and white tulle at home but you can find these items at the dollar store and/or any craft store (my tulle came from Michaels)
I’m using white heart-shaped dollies (optional) that I purchased from the dollar tree for Valentine’s Day. As you can see from the pictures I’m going to put my centerpiece on a brown table and I felt that the bouquet needed something to make it stand out better against the dark table.
Ok, let’s jump into how to create your centerpiece
(Oh and FYI, I’ll be using the words centerpiece and bouquet interchangeably because well, uh, it’s clearly a bouquet being used as a centerpiece, lol)
1. Gather all your flowers in one hand. Be sure to hold them at different heights like I did in the picture below. This is so that they lay better on the table. Your bouquet will also look longer like this.
2. Wrap the white tulle tightly around the stems and secure with safety pins.
You can tie the flowers with a rubber band first if that makes it easier to wrap the tulle. I just held the flowers in place with my hand while I wrapped.
Notice how the colors of the roses are not evenly distributed. The yellow roses are off to your right. The pinks are gathered around the bottom of the bouquet and the whites are off to the left.
Don’t worry, we’ll fix that later on. We got this guys!
I only needed one safety pin at the end of the bouquet because I tucked the top end into the wrapped tulle but use as many as you’d like to secure everything.
3. Wrap your ribbon over the tulle like the picture below and secure with safety pins.
I covered the first safety pin (holding the white tulle in place) with the pink ribbon. Then I made sure that I was placing the safety pins for the pink ribbon in the part of the bouquet that was going to lay against the table that way they won’t show once I’m done.
4. Tie a piece of burlap to create a bow
5. Create a “bow” by bending the burlap inwards on both sides to create a pretty loop
I have to admit, I’m horrible at creating bows but burlap is great when you’re challenged, like me, in the bow creating department because the wire holds it in whatever shape you bend it.
See how it’s keeping the looped shape
That’s all you have to do for a pretty bow!
Shhhh…no one has to know it’s a fake bow!
6. Ok so this next step is important…
Remember how the colors of the flowers were not evenly distributed after wrapping the tulle?
Let’s fix that:
Look at the flowers that I am pointing to with the arrows. I pulled those flowers off of their original stem and moved them around to mix up the colors.
I probably did this to about 10 roses.
Just gently pull off as many flowers as you need to and move them around to create the look you want.
7. Arrange your white dollies on the table like this (if using dollies):
Place your bouquet on top…
And you have a beautiful and unique spring centerpiece!!
When Easter comes around you can also scatter some pretty eggs around the centerpiece or tuck them into the bouquet!
I hope you give this unique spring centerpiece a try in your home today!
