Do you ever look at something that is normally considered junk and wonder, what can I do with that?
I do that all the time! Empty bottles, cans, shoe boxes. I always try to repurpose those items.
So when I managed to turn a shower cap ring (the plastic rings that sometimes come in a new shower cap) into a wreath I was oh so happy!
Simple DIY Fall Wreath
For my wreath I’m using the plastic ring that sometimes comes in a new shower cap. Usually shower caps that you find at dollar stores have them.
I’ll give you a moment to laugh at how funny (and cute) us girls can look in a shower cap 😉
ok, I started my wreath by wrapping twine around the ring and adding some hot glue along a few areas.
Then I added some faux leaves with hot glue and some twine to make sure they stay in place.
Next I hot glued some orange faux berries. If you notice, I added a large amount of hot glue to give the area some height so that my bow in the next step doesn’t look too sunken in.
And some extra berries at the end to add some extra color.
and that’s it!
Ok friends, that’s it for this one…
Sending happy, safe, and healthy vibes your way. May God bless you and your family today and every beautiful day to come!
Whether it’s real or faux, I find flowers so beautiful, and almost always like to include them whenever I’m making centerpieces or any other decorations for my home.
Sadly, I don’t have a green thumb. My house plants are lucky if they make it through a few month in my home (I’m pretty sure there’s a picture of me at Home Depot with a sign saying don’t let this customer buy anymore plants).
No matter how hard I try, they never last. So I usually stick to faux for everything that I make.
Today’s centerpieces are no exception to that. I’m using these beautiful, colorful faux flowers that I found at the Dollar Tree as well as a bunch of white and blue daisies that I had from Walmart.
They all came together fairly easy. It can sometimes be very frustrating for me to try and create a centerpiece because I am no professional, but I was surprised, and relieved, at how easy these 3 were!
ok, let’s begin!
3 Easy Faux Floral Centerpieces
My first centerpiece starts off with a glass vase bowl that I filled with a layer of flat marbles.
Then I added a few large rocks on top of that.
I finished with a few orange faux flowers as well as a few faux leaves.
The next centerpiece started off with this arrangement that I used for spring and then added 3 extra bushes of faux flowers From the Dollar Tree.
I also added a few clear marbles to the bottom of the vase.
Surprisingly, this arrangement came together fairly quickly. I usually have a hard time bringing my centerpieces together! It’s like trial and error over and over and over again. So I was pretty happy when I finished.
The orange, purple and blue flowers you see below are the 3 bunches of Dollar Tree flowers that I added into the flowers that were already there.
Lastly, this very simple arrangement consists of a recycled jar, another orange flower, like the one I used above and more of those faux leaves.
I finished with an orange ribbon that I had left over from this fall centerpiece. The ribbon is simply taped on to the jar around the back. I like using scotch tape for attaching ribbons to vases, it seems to keep the ribbon in place the best.
Hope you enjoyed these 3 easy faux floral centerpieces and find some inspiration for your home decorating as well!

3 Super Simple Rock and Marble Mini “Vase” Decorations
It’s become a recurring event here…
Simple centerpieces, simple decorations.
I really fall in love with simple decorations. Add a couple of daisies or one breath taking peony to a pretty little vase, and it’s official guys, I’m in heaven!
So today I’m sharing a few very simple, but oh so pretty, table decorations that I brought together using rocks and marbles.
I equally love repurposing and making use of whatever I have on hand for a vase. I find candle holders, old jars, beer bottles, drinking glasses and even olive oil bottles to be perfect for simple arrangements.
You can find most of the items that I am using today (or something similar) at any Dollar store, Walmart or Target. Most of my items came from the dollar store with the exception of a few that I’ve had forever.
Ok, here we go…
3 Super Simple Rock and Marble Mini “Vase” Decorations
I put together this simple little turquoise decoration using clear marbles, one turquoise faux flower, and faux leaves that I removed from the stem…
Spoiler alert: you may read the word simple over and over and over again 🙂
I brought my flower and leaves together…
And placed them over a tiny shot glass filled with the clear marbles.
Super simple but so darn cute!
I only made one of this simple little cutie but it would be so pretty to have a few more, maybe 4-5 to place on a window seal, table, or scattered around a countertop.
Here I used green marbles, small rocks, one yellow faux flower…
Added the rocks and marbles to a glass cup, placed the flower on top…
And it sits on my kitchen countertop, right next to my daughter’s cheerios 🙂
This is another one that I think would be beautiful if you make more than one!
The size of your table (or where ever you are placing these) would probably dictate how many you would need. If you have a long dining table maybe as many as 5 or 7 would be great! You can also place white paper doilies under each one, line them all up side by side and even change the color for each flower or stick to one color and use different shades of that color for each glass.
For this last simple rock and marble table decoration I used the same green marbles as above, twine and a few beads.
I wrapped twine around the top of this small candle holder, finished off with a bow then attached a few beads.
I used Gorilla double sided mounting tape for my beads but that’s only because I’ve been experimenting with that tape to see what projects I can use it for. You can of course use a hot glue gun or whatever you have on hand that will hold the beads in place.
And that’s it for my 3 super simple rock and marble decorations.
Sending happy, safe, and healthy vibes your way. May God bless you and your family today and every beautiful day to come!
So many shades, and names, of the beautiful color blue!
Easy Blue Faux Floral Centerpiece
As the title implies, this is a very easy centerpiece to bring together. I used a few faux florals, some old, some new. White rocks, a small fish bowl vase, and then arranged the flowers by keeping the same flowers together on either side and finishing up with a hydrangea down the center of my arrangement.
Ok, here we go!
I started with a small round vase filled with white decorative rocks…
As for the flowers, I added three baby blue florals, all together on one side…
Two bunches of hyacinth flowers (from Walmart) with a mix of light and royal blue shades on the opposite side…
Lastly one blue hydrangea in the center…
and that’s it!
Sending happy, safe, and healthy vibes your way. May God bless you and your family today and every beautiful day to come!
Today I’m sharing six easy Easter decorations that anyone can bring together fairly quickly with some basic decorative items.
If you have faux florals, Easter eggs, and a few basic and pretty (they have to be pretty) containers such as vases or recycled jars you can recreate your own similar Easter decorations too.
As always, most of the items I’m using are things that I already have on hand as well as a few
new items.
ok, let’s get started!
Hope you enjoy these six quick and easy Easter decorations.
6 Quick and Easy Easter Decorations
Pink Daisies from Dollar Tree (oh how I love the Dollar Tree)
Bouquet of flowers from Walmart.
I was a little lazy about cutting off the end of my flowers but of course you can use a wire cutter to cut down your flowers to size. The bent stem doesn’t bother me though. Sometimes the thought of cutting down my faux flowers just hurts! I like to keep them long so that I’m able to use them in the future with taller vases, if I wish. But sometimes that’s unavoidable and I have to cut them down.
Tulips from Michaels Craft Store.
Small daisies from Ikea, purchased years ago.
This is probably the simplest but my favorite. It’s really a part of my decorations for our kitchen hutch, but I like it so much that I had to photograph it separate.
All I did was place a few glittery eggs on a couple of plates and placed it on top of our toaster oven. It’s so simple that it made me stop and wonder if I should even bother sharing it but truthfully, I tend to fall in love with the very simple decorations that I place around my home.
They bring a smile to my face!
Oh how I debated on whether or not I should keep the next one! It’s on our very tiny dining, mail, coffee, water bottle table and…
It’s a beer bottle with dried flowers from Valentines day.
When I put this together, I loved it! I love using beer bottles (it’s a good thing my husband likes beers) and I couldn’t throw those dried flowers away! Then I finished off with the cutest little chick and eggs that I found at my local Dollar Store.
So cute!!!
But recently I thought, beer bottles and dried flowers for Easter?!?!? What on earth…
It didn’t seem to fit when we are enjoying all the beautiful new greenery that’s starting to show up on trees and in parks and decorating with pastel colors.
It is also when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and I’m decorating with a beer bottle (face/palm moment).
Then, I remembered that God loves me…and everything I do (well mostly everything, oh who am I kidding I’m past due for confession). But God loves me, and creativity. He’s not as serious as we may think, or at least I don’t think he is. I think he would approve of my simple beer bottle decoration. So I decided it wasn’t that serious and kept it on our table and now I’m enjoying it every day.
Another simple one that I’m absolutely in love with.
Yellow flowers from Michaels Craft Store.
That’s it for now my friends. I hope you enjoyed these 6 quick and easy Easter decorations and are inspired to bring together a few simple decorations for your home too!
Sending happy, safe, and healthy vibes your way. May God bless you and your family today and every beautiful day to come!
You can find them with drawings of bunnies, baskets, flowers, and all sorts of pretty spring stuff.
And you can even have your kids paint the real thing.
It’s Easter eggs.
I absolutely love using Easter eggs for decorating.
Today I’m sharing a very simple table decoration using these sweet little eggs.
I’m using eggs that I’ve had for a few years now and have used over and over again. One of last years Easter decorations (that I shared here on the blog) is similar to what I’m sharing today, but this time I added a few decorative brown rocks to tone down the bright colors a bit.
I used sparkly white, yellow and lime green Easter eggs and finished off with a navy blue ribbon.
and that’s it.
Simple Easter Egg Table Decoration
I placed a layer of brown rocks at the bottom of my vase.
Then a layer of glittery white, yellow, and lime green glitter Easter eggs come in.
As you can see in the other photos, I made a bow around my vase using blue ribbon.
I also added some scotch tape underneath the ribbon to hold it in place.
and that’s it!

Today I’m sharing a spring wreath that I made about two years ago. I made this wreath with the intention to post it here and share but never got around to it.
Honestly, this should probably be a continuation of my post from two weeks ago where I also shared a few DIYs that I never got around to posting.
(oh if I could count the times I make things that I want to share and then never do… (face/palm moment)
I used items that I believe I already had on hand or had recently bought as well as an old wreath that I repurposed from old fall decorations.
Ok, I hope you enjoy this simple lime green and purple spring wreath!
DIY Lime Green and Purple Spring Wreath
I used faux lime green and purple flowers. (purple flowers came from Michaels Craft Store)
(I also added a few white hydrangea petals at the end from the dollar store)
And I used white ribbon at the end to hang up my wreath.
As for my wreath, I used an old wreath that I already had on hand. It had flowers for a fall wreath that I removed and then started hot gluing on my green and purple petals onto my wreath and finished off with a few white hydrangea petals.
and that’s it!
Hope you enjoyed this simple DIY lime green and purple spring wreath! Thanks for stopping by.

I recently came across a few random photos that I never got around to sharing and thought it would be kind of fun to combine them all and share them in one blog post.
I’m always making things for my home. Whether it’s decorations for my home, birthday decorations, simple homemade gifts or just trying to DIY some type of home organization…
I’m always up to something.
But I don’t always get around to sharing everything because I either think it’s maybe too simple to share, or I get distracted and start working on another project that ends up bumping that old project to the back burner…
I do try to make it a point to photograph many of these DIY’s though in case I change my mind and decide to post them or have some spare time to play with. (Hardly ever)
Thank the good Lord for cameras!
Most of what I’m sharing today is somewhat on the easy side and mostly anyone can bring them together with a few simple supplies or things already on hand.
You can also customize these ideas to suit the season you are in by changing up the colors or items you are using or even make them for everyday decorations.
A Few Random Home Decor Items
I love the Christmas Tree Shop. They always have such beautiful finds. It never fails that me and my five-year-old daughter come out of there with at least a couple of bags of stuff that we probably could have done without, but couldn’t pass up!
I picked up the gold candle wreath below right before the holidays and ended up making a simple door wreath by wrapping a white faux poinsettia off to the side.
Then I added a strand of twine for hanging.
I usually don’t use too much red to decorate for fall. But last year I did, and really loved it.
I never got around to sharing this small faux floral centerpiece but luckily I did get to photograph it before taking it apart once the season was over.
I made this floral centerpiece using three faux flowers, some red and white ribbon, and a recycled jar.
A very simple, but of so pretty, heart painting.
I started by painting different shaped hearts on cardstock then cut out the best hearts and ended up framing these three with white tissue paper for the background.
(Frame: Walmart)
I originally came across this frame when I visited this blog, while I was on the hunt for some fall wall decor ideas. She really created a beautiful display on her wall with a larger version of these frames. You may want to check it out when you can.
Here I taped paper hearts together, another Christmas Tree Shop find, to make two Valentine’s Day wall decorations and then finished by adding twine for hanging.
A pink heart on a stick (from Walmart), a mason jar, and some pink beaded jewelry that I’ve had forever play the part of vase fillers.
All I did here was cut out a few small red hearts on cardstock for more Valentine’s Day decor this past holiday. The rest of the items I picked up on previous trips to a variety of different stores.
(Poinsettias, Dollar Store…Red Hearts in vase, Walmart…Adorable Bird, Target)
Lastly, a birthday garland for my daughter’s birthday. We usually don’t have actual birthday parties for my daughter, but no matter how we decide to celebrate I always like to decorate our home for both her as well as me and my husband’s birthday.
I taped hearts that I cut out last year for Valentine’s Day onto twine then added flower and bird stickers (the kid in me) as well as adhesive pearls to the hearts.
There are actually two separate garlands in the photo below, it may not be very clear to see but you can see the longer one down below.
That’s it for now. Hope you enjoyed everything!

A small container, a few white flowers (almost always faux for me and my black thumb) …
And I have a very pretty and very simple floral arrangement that I can keep out practically all year long.
Today I’m sharing an easy faux floral arrangement that I think can work for any season as simple home decor.
For my container, I’m using a small sugar bowl that I have used over and over again for decorating. It’s become a very loyal sugar bowl/flower container throughout the years 🙂 I’m pretty sure I found my “vase” at IKEA years ago, but you can find small round clear containers similar to this at the dollar store, they may not be white but clear would be beautiful too!
Then I’m using a few faux flowers from the dollar store and that’s it, no filler in the vase to keep them in place, no water, the beauty of faux, just a wire cutter to make sure they are the perfect length for my vase.
Simple Everyday Floral Arrangement
A small white sugar bowl…
Four white dollar store faux flowers…
cut down to the perfect size, and we have a simple everyday floral decoration perfect for all year decor!
And she sits on my kitchen countertop right next to my sink.
Why not have something pretty to look at while I do the dishes! 😉
Hope you enjoyed this simple everyday floral arrangement!

I was interested in just about anything that was related to the world of arts and crafts….
Drawing, beads, decorating, pretty much anything to do with crafting.
But, as I got older, I slowly stopped many of those hobbies.
This blog has really helped me get back to my love of crafting.
So I took a chance at drawing again and decided to focus my doodling on something fall related.
In came the pumpkins idea…
I decided I wanted to have one pumpkin framed on the wall. Honestly, this idea started from a few innocent pumpkin stickers. I came up with an idea to frame some stickers that I had, but that didn’t work out quite how I wanted, so I figured why not draw my own pumpkins.
It took some time practicing, but eventually, I got it.
ok, let’s get started…
DIY Pumpkin Drawing Wall Decor
Supplies:
Cardstock (Rite Aid and Staples)
Scrapbook/craft paper (light blue and beige. I’ve had these for years. Probably purchased at Michaels)
Silver Stickers (Also something I have had for a few years)
Scissors, Sharpie fine point marker, pencil, ruler, and tape
As for the frames, I ended up using a couple of old frames that I already had on hand.
As I mentioned earlier, I practiced a number of times how to draw a pumpkin. Eventually, I decided to keep them very simple, as you see below.
I drew 4 pumpkins for each frame used, each one a different size. I then cut them out along with eight small green stems.
Then I finished with a few black lines using my sharpie marker and lastly attaching the stems onto the back of the pumpkins with my tape.
I later taped the pumpkins onto my white card stock.
Then I called for my husband’s help…
I’m kind of…No, I’m really horrible with numbers…and fractions…and anything to do with math. But I needed to find the center of my page so that I can easily center my pumpkins and stickers. Easy, right? Nope…
My frame had uneven measurements that made it hard for me to find my center point. So I got some help from my husband, who is much better at math, and science, and remembering really unnecessary/silly facts. Within minutes he had my center point and where I should start placing everything.
Now I have two adorable pumpkin frames to bring some fall joy into my home for the season.
Thanks for stopping by!
