Lent Inspired Centerpiece
Lent Inspired Centerpiece
Hello friends!
Today I’m sharing a simple centerpiece that was inspired by Lent.
I have to admit, I’ve never actually decorated for Lent before, my parents didn’t either when I was a little girl, but this idea of decorating was really calling me this year. So I searched for a bit online for direction on how to decorate because I really wasn’t sure where to start and then decided to keep things very simple. I’m probably not following any rules here as for traditions, with the exception of the color purple, but I figured that was ok for my home and when I finished, I loved it.
I honestly just wanted to have something around the house that would remind me of this very special time of year. As well as remind myself of the traditions that I grew up knowing in my Catholic home. Especially not eating meat on Fridays, because I’m prone to always forgetting about that!

I started by wrapping a strand of twine to the top of a small vase and simply tying it in place.

Here I’m using a grayish blue round table mat, a paper doilie, and a small piece of a purple faux flower to place under my vase.

Light blue faux flowers.

Now I have a beautiful Lent decoration as well as a reminder of the special time of year we are in.

Sending happy, safe, and healthy vibes your way. May God bless you and your family today and every beautiful day to come!
