Spring Decorating with Florals and Easter Eggs
Spring Decorating with Florals and Easter Eggs
It’s starting to feel like spring here in NY! The sun is shining brighter and brighter, leaves and flowers are starting to show up and ice cream trucks are popping up everywhere! (It’s still a bit chilly for that in my opinion, but my 6 year old daughter would disagree)
I was so happy when I pulled out all of my spring decorations right before Easter. The Easter eggs, chicks, bunnies and pastel colors are all so so pretty! I have to admit I’ve built up quite a collection of Easter eggs the last few years. They always catch my eye in stores and I can’t help but to buy a few. Last year my sister and nieces were visiting right before Easter and we ended up having an egg hunt that bumped my collection up probably by twice its size! So most of my spring decorations include at least a few eggs (plastic ones of course, collecting real eggs every year would be bad) and I’ve been enjoying them so much.
Do you like to leave out Easter eggs for decorating after Easter?
I usually do. I always have a hard time putting decorations away for any season honestly. After putting time into creating and finding the perfect spot for everything I just want to keep them out as long as I can.
Spring Decorating with Florals and Easter Eggs
Simple things can be so pretty. Here I just took a flower pot and an old skinny vase and filled them with a mix of Easter eggs.

Faux white tulips, a light blue mini tree…

and the cutest little chick that I may have ever seen! 💛

For my daughters room I used a plastic recycled jar and filled it with small eggs. I decorated it with spring stickers and neon green curling ribbon.

There’s something about neon green that I just absolutely love. It’s a happy color!
Pay no mind to the gnome in the back with bunny ears…I couldn’t resist 🙂

Some stuff just doesn’t need much explaining….
A cylinder vase filled with small sunflowers. Super simple!
I recently saw something exactly like this at the dollar store and was amazed at how pretty it looked. The vase was ridiculously tall, probably three times taller than the one I’m using here and it was filled with a bunch of sunflowers. I’m guessing a customer had put it together and then ended up not buying it (why they wouldn’t is beyond me) because it was just a random vase filled with sunflowers in one of the aisles. I told myself I didn’t need another vase and sunflowers in my home so I left it there…..I was probably back a few weeks later and brought the vase back home with me, lol.

This next one may be my favorite.
A very bright pink egg combined with a handful of sparkly yellow basket fillers and placed into a glass.
This “look” of a glass with a few decorative items may just be on repeat for me when it comes to decorating in my kitchen. If you go through my previous blog posts showing kitchen decorations you will probably see some variation of this!

This one is similar to the others in that it’s a vase filled with Easter eggs. It’s nestled in a yellow floral wreath that really finishes the centerpiece.
I’ve found that using a wreath as a centerpiece can offer a really big and beautiful impact to a simple centerpiece. I could just imagine tables at a wedding reception decorated with a bright floral wreath and maybe a tall sparkly candle wrapped with ribbon or even a fish bowl like this one with other fillers like crystals, florals, or even pumpkins or pinecones depending on the season.

And lastly, a few strands of curling ribbon to create a large bow on a mason jar. I used pink, neon green, light blue and a metallic pinkish purple strand to match the colorful foam eggs on a stick that are filling the jar.
Sending happy, safe, and healthy vibes your way. May God bless you and your family today and every beautiful day to come!
