3 Seashell Table Decorations – Perfect for Countertops and Small Tables
3 Seashell Table Decorations – Perfect for Countertops and Small Tables
I know we only have about one month left of summer, but as always, I’m still trying to enjoy what is left of the season.
I always have a hard time transitioning from one season to another. I love taking in all the beauty that every season has to offer, and as for my crafts and decorations…. Well, after putting some time and effort into them, I never really want to put them away too soon. So frustrating!
Can any fellow craft lovers relate to that feeling? Never wanting to take your work apart or store it away when it’s time to move on to making new decorations for the next season.
Well, if you are like me and still want to see more summer decor ideas, then these simple seashell decorations may be perfect for you. They are super easy to put together, and you can probably still find many of the supplies that I’ll be using (or similar items) at any craft or dollar store. You may even get lucky and find items on clearance, since it is almost the end of summer, you know 😉
So let’s get to it and have some last-minute summer decor fun before those gorgeous fall pumpkins start rolling in.
3 Seashell Table Decorations – Perfect for Countertops and Small Tables
All three of these seashell table decorations came together with seashells that I found at my local dollar store. I purchased them a couple of months ago, and I believe I used a total of two small bags for everything.
For this first seashell table decoration, I’m using a few small pieces of faux leaves that I cut off of flowers I had in my floral stash, along with white and brown seashells and light blue beads.

Then for my container I’m using a cylinder vase that I found at Walmart a few years ago, along with a white candle.
My candle was a bit short for my vase so I used a floral styrofoam to raise it up as you can see here, but if you are using a candle tall enough to fit your vase you can skip this step.

Once I had my candle and vase ready, I used an old piece of fabric that I had on hand and added it to the bottom of my vase to cover the styrofoam and give the look of sand. You can use burlap here as well, or if you have some sand of course that would be perfect here!
Then I added my leaves, seashells, and beads to the top of the fabric, and this one is done.

(Friendly disclaimer: this is only for decorating purposes. Please don’t light a candle with fabric, faux greenery, or any other flammable decorative item)

So summery!

This next seashell table decoration consists of the same white and brown seashells that I picked up at my local dollar store along with a few short strands of iridescent beads that I had in my crafting stash.

I’ll be using a small recycled olive jar here that I filled almost completely with my seashells, then topped them off with those iridescent strands of beads.
What I really love about this seashell jar is the extra large, almost silly but adorable bow that I placed on top. Tehe…
To make this bow, I used sisal twine, which is a very strong and stiffer twine compared to regular twine. I found mine at my local dollar store, but I’ve seen it on Amazon, and I’m guessing you can probably also find it in hardware stores.
I made a rustic layered bow and then hot-glued it onto the top of my jar along with a few beads and one seashell.

A perfect summer decoration for any countertop or end table!

For this seashell table decoration, I’m using another recycled jar and filling it with a layer of small rocks, a second layer of blue gems, and a top layer of flat clear marbles.
Super simple!
All of my rocks and gems came from my local dollar store, and I used a little less than one bag for each layer.
Some sisal twine gets wrapped around my jar a few times and hot-glued around the back to hold in place. After that, I made a large bow with the same twine, hot-glued that onto the bottle, and then hot-glued on some seashells and beads to the center of my bow.
Keep in mind this type of twine can be very messy to work with, so it’s good to work over something to catch the mess like I did here with pink tissue paper.
Easy peasy and we’re done.
I hope you enjoyed these seashell summer decorations. Thanks for stopping by!
Sending happy, safe, and healthy vibes your way. May God bless you and your family today and every beautiful day to come!
