Valentine’s Day Centerpiece – Faux Roses

Valentine’s Day Centerpiece – Faux Roses
A few things come to mind when I think about Valentine’s Day.
Hearts, the word love, a cute little angel holding a bow and arrow…
And roses.
Valentine’s Day and roses just go together. Kind of like spaghetti and meatballs, or if you are in my home, rice and beans.
So I pulled out a few roses I had saved from when I made my spring centerpiece last year and got to work trying to figure out what I can make for Valentine’s Day.
I decided to use the pink and white roses from that centerpiece and combine them with these teeny tiny roses I recently found at my local dollar store.
So cute. I had to bring a few home with me!
When I put those tiny roses together with the roses I already had on hand I came up with this sweet centerpiece perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Ok let’s get started…
Valentine’s Day Centerpiece – Faux Roses
Here’s what I used:
2 Bunches of pink faux roses (from the dollar store)
1 bunch of white faux roses (from the dollar store)
3 packs of mini white, pink and hot pink craft roses (also from the dollar store)
Decorative small rocks
A small white box
Wire cutters
Now here’s what I did:
First, I’m using my old Apple Watch box as my container to hold the flowers. It’s the same box that I used for this post.
I started by filling my box with some decorative small rocks to help hold my flowers in place.
Next, I cut down all of my roses fairly short since my box is not very tall.
Then I bent a few of the stems, like the ones pictured below. This was just to get a few different heights in my centerpiece.
I also removed all of the leaves.
Now for the fun part!
I placed my white flowers on one side and the pink flowers on the other.
But I kept one pink and one white rose off to the side.
I took those two flowers set aside and placed the white one into the pink side and the pink one into the white side.
Now I’m going to start working with my smaller roses.
Like I mentioned earlier, I found these in the dollar store, right by all of the party supplies.
The white bunch only brought 5 roses and I ended up using all of them.
There were about 20-30 roses in the pink and hot pink bunch and I used up most of them.
Now it’s time to start bringing all these colors together.
I scattered the tiny pink flowers mainly all throughout the white flowers.
I also added just a few to the pink side.
So pretty…
Then, I added all of my small white roses to the pink side…
Ok, looking good so far…
I also tucked a few of my small roses along the rim of the box
As for the hot pink roses…
I scattered those all throughout my centerpiece.
oh those colors!
Lastly, find a spot for my new centerpiece…
where my sweet 2 year old daughter won’t take it apart 🙂
And that’s it!
I hope you enjoyed this Valentine’s Day centerpiece with faux roses and decide to give it a try in your home!
